Surroundings

Livestock / camping site is surrounded by forests and floodplains on the edge of the Veluwezoom, bordering the Betuwe and the Hoge Veluwe. With its location on the moraine along the Rhine, the area is slightly sloping, which provides beautiful views from ‘de Boersberg’ and the Duno.

Walking and cycling

The area is ideal for walking or cycling to enjoy all the natural beauty. You should not be surprised to suddenly come face to face with a deer, roe deer or fox. In the immediate vicinity there are several walking routes. The Veluwe is known for its multitude of cycle paths (bicycle junction at 500 from ‘de Boersberg’) through the varied landscapes of forest, heath and water. With five minutes by bike you are in the beautiful Betuwe with its extensive orchards and nice villages and places.

Out and about

In addition to visiting the places Arnhem, Wageningen or Ede, there are various places of interest in the immediate vicinity, such as the Airborne museum in Oosterbeek, Burgers Zoo and the Open Air Museum in Arnhem in Rhenen, the Ouwehands Dierenpark with the famous pandas and the De Hoge Veluwe National Park. There are not only places to eat and drink in the larger towns such as Arnhem and Wageningen, but you will also find good restaurants and cozy terraces in the nearby villages of Heelsum, Renkum, Doorwerth, Oosterbeek and Wolfheze.

Swimming

In the immediate vicinity of the farm there are various possibilities for swimming. In Renkum you will find the indoor swimming pool Doelum, in Bennekom outdoor swimming pool De Vrije Slag and you can swim in a large pool in Heteren (3 km away) at the Randwijkse Waarden (under development) and at Beachpark Slijk-Ewijk.

Blauwe Bever

With the Blauwe Bever you can take a boat trip on the Lower Rhine and the Lek, and you can go ashore somewhere along the way for an excursion led by a guide.

The ship
eDe Blauwe Bever is a sturdy ship on which you can enjoy the river and the surrounding landscape and nature from the open, covered upper deck. In the small, enclosed lower cabin you can warm up if necessary and refreshments are available.

The Blue Beaver is a unique ship because it can moor in places where other ships cannot reach, such as the banks of a nature reserve. That makes our trips really special.

The boat trips
During the tour, the guide will tell you all kinds of interesting things about what there is to see. A permanent part of every trip is a shore excursion: a walk in a nature reserve, or a visit to a castle, old brick factory, a fortress or a museum, or a city walk in one of the characteristic towns along the Lower Rhine. Led by an expert guide.

We sail in the area between Arnhem and Wijk bij Duurstede, with different boarding places and destinations.
On the page BOOK ONLINE you can immediately see which boarding places and destinations are possible.
